An XDCC-Bot is an automated system that hosts files wich you can download using certain commands. They can be identified by the '+' before their nicknames.
Just a 'bot' can be anything that has sertain scripts to do certain tasks, we got two in our channel. First is 'Security' wich is a network service that will keep spammers and people violating the network rules out of the channel and off the network. Second we have AnimationBot wich keeps track of the XDCC-Bots in the channel and gives them a voice (+v, a + before their nickname) and kicks out people that flood too much or break other rules.

The bots are seen to be set up properly so on their part we will asume it's all right, altough if you think it's not set up right (like thats the only bot that oes not work for you), and it's not a bot from someone else wich is just in our channel, please post on the forum with the nickname of the bot. But in all the other cases it's probably your part that's not acting right, and you are using mIRC, go trough the steps of How to configure mIRC and your router to make downloading files trough IRC possible and if you have done that and it's still not working you can try asking for help on our forum, include stuff like wich bot were you trying to download if it was the only bot you had trouble with, wich client you were using (for windows this is most likely mIRC), what version, what command you were trying etc etc.
